   In 1 Thessalonians 3:11, the aorist active optative occurs in a request that a way be directed "to you." In 2 Thessalonians 3:5, the same form is used of hearts directed "to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ"; Luke 1:79 uses the aorist active infinitive for feet directed "into the way of peace."
