Eua identifies the woman named in accounts of Adam's formation and the serpent's deception.

   In 1 Timothy 2:13, the nominative singular form occurs in the statement that Adam was formed first and then this woman; the APB renders the clause “then Eve.” In 2 Corinthians 11:3, the accusative singular form identifies the woman whom the serpent deceived; the APB renders “as the serpent deceived Eve by its craftiness.”
