The attested use denotes a planned hostile scheme: one is reported to Paul, and another is arranged to kill a man while he travels on the road.

   Both occurrences use the accusative singular feminine form in clauses concerning a concealed plan against someone. In Acts 23:16 the APB renders the report brought to Paul as news of “the plot”; in Acts 25:3 it renders a plan connected with sending a man to Jerusalem while others intend “to kill him on the road.”
