Bebeloo describes treating the Sabbath or temple as profaned in the actions described in Scripture.

The attested use concerns an act described as profaning what is sacred: priests and the Sabbath in Matthew 12:5, and an attempted action against the temple in Acts 24:6.

   In Matthew 12:5, the present active plural form occurs in the clause about priests on the Sabbath in the temple; the APB renders it, “the priests on the Sabbath profane the Sabbath in the temple and yet are guiltless.” In Acts 24:6, the aorist active infinitive names the alleged attempted action against the temple; the APB renders, “He even tried to profane the temple.”
