Anairesis refers to a death in the setting of Saul’s consent in Acts 8:1.

Its sole attestation places it in the statement that Saul was consenting to a death, before the verse recounts persecution and scattering.

   In Acts 8:1, the dative singular feminine form occurs in the clause about Saul’s consent. The APB renders the clause, “Saul was consenting to his death,” while the rest of the verse describes persecution in Jerusalem and the scattering into Judea and Samaria.

In the Anselm Project Bible: In Acts 8:1, the APB presents the clause as “Saul was consenting to his death.” Its exact assignment to the Greek term cannot be isolated with certainty.
