The two verses show purity both as a quality named among knowledge, patience, kindness, and genuine love, and as a quality toward Christ from which minds may be corrupted.

1. Purity as a named quality · dominant

   In 2 Corinthians 6:6, the dative singular form occurs in a sequence of qualities; the APB renders the clause, “In purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the holy Spirit, in genuine love.” In 2 Corinthians 11:3, the genitive singular form belongs to what is toward Christ and may be lost through corruption of the minds; the APB renders “the openness and the purity that are toward the Christ.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB includes “purity” in both verses: among a series of qualities in 2 Corinthians 6:6 and in the phrase “the purity that are toward the Christ” in 2 Corinthians 11:3. These renderings confirm the clauses' presentation rather than isolate each form mechanically.
