The Bible says that wrongdoing is repaid and that “there is no partiality” (Colossians 3:25). In the same letter, masters are told to give slaves what is just and fair, with the reminder that they have a Master in heaven (Colossians 4:1). Another passage warns that no one should transgress against or exploit a brother in the matter addressed, saying that the Lord is an avenger concerning such things (1 Thessalonians 4:6).
