Authority

The Bible says that authority is named in an instruction to declare, exhort, and rebuke “with all authority,” while Philemon speaks of boldness in Christ to command what is fitting. Titus 2:15 instructs its addressee to declare these things and not be disregarded. In Philemon 1:8, the speaker says he has boldness in Christ to command; the following verses express a plea through love concerning Onesimus.
