Zur in the Bible is a Midianite leader identified as Cozbi’s father and as head of a father’s house in Midian (Numbers 25:15). He is named in at least four verses across Numbers and Joshua. Numbers lists Zur among five kings of Midian who were killed, while Joshua names him among Midian’s princes, described there as vassals of Sihon who lived in the land (Numbers 31:8; Joshua 13:21).
