Zechariah son of Jehoiada

Zechariah son of Jehoiada is the son of Jehoiada the priest, first named in 2 Chronicles 24:20. He is named in at least one verse in one biblical book, 2 Chronicles. In that passage, the spirit of God clothes Zechariah; he stands above the people and speaks a message introduced as God’s words. The passage asks why the people transgress the LORD’s commandments and says that they will not prosper because they have forsaken the LORD, who has forsaken them (2 Chronicles 24:20).
