Shemida

Shemida is a biblical genealogical ancestor named among the sons of Manasseh, son of Joseph, in a family list Joshua 17:2. Numbers associates Shemida with “the clan of the Shemidaites” Numbers 26:32. These passages place his name in family and clan lists: Numbers names the Shemidaites, while Joshua includes Shemida among Manasseh’s remaining sons according to their families. Shemida is named in at least two verses across Numbers and Joshua.
