Rizpah is Saul's concubine and the daughter of Aiah, first named in 2 Samuel 3:7. She is named in at least four verses, all in 2 Samuel. The text identifies Armoni and Mephibosheth as the two sons she bore to Saul (2 Samuel 21:8). Rizpah spread sackcloth on a rock from the beginning of harvest until rain fell, and she kept birds and wild animals from resting on them (2 Samuel 21:10).
