Remaliah is named in Isaiah as the father of Pekah, king of Israel.
Remaliah king of Israel is the Isaiah-named father of Pekah, whom the passage calls king of Israel. In Isaiah 7:1, Pekah son of Remaliah goes with Rezin king of Aram against Jerusalem, though they are unable to fight against it. The chapter also calls Pekah “the son of Remaliah” while referring to the anger of Rezin and Aram (Isaiah 7:4) and to a plot involving Aram, Ephraim, and Pekah (Isaiah 7:5). Isaiah names him again in connection with Samaria (Isaiah 7:9). Remaliah is named in at least 4 verses, all in Isaiah.
