Phicol is a Genesis figure called the ruler of an army and named with Abimelech in dealings with Abraham.
Phicol (Abraham narrative) is a Genesis figure identified as the “ruler of his army” when he appears with Abimelech. In Genesis 21:22, Abimelech and Phicol tell Abraham that God is with him in all he does. The account later says that a covenant was cut at Beersheba; Abimelech and Phicol then rose and returned to the land of the Philistines (Genesis 21:32). Phicol is named in at least 2 verses in Genesis.
