Obed-edom

Obed-edom in the Bible is Obed-edom the Gittite, whose house received the ark of the LORD when David did not bring it into the city of David. 2 Samuel 6:10

The ark remained in his house for three months, and the passage says that the LORD blessed Obed-edom and his entire household. 2 Samuel 6:11 David was later told that the LORD had blessed Obed-edom’s household and everything he had because of the ark of God; David then brought the ark from Obed-edom’s house to the city of David with rejoicing. 2 Samuel 6:12 Obed-edom is named in at least three verses in 2 Samuel.
