Micah
A Mount Ephraim man called Micahu at Judges 17:1.
Micah is a Judges person from Mount Ephraim, first named as Micahu in Judges 17:1. The name Micah, also written Micahu, is named in at least 18 verses in Judges, across two name forms.
The passage says that silver returned to Micah's mother was made into an idol and a liquid, which remained in Micahu's house (Judges 17:4). Micah had a house of God, made an ephod and teraphim, and made one of his sons priest (Judges 17:5). He told a Levite to stay with him as a father and priest, offering silver, clothing, and maintenance (Judges 17:10); the Levite later said that Micah had hired him as priest (Judges 18:4).
Men sent from Dan arrived at Micah's house (Judges 18:2). They entered it and took the idol, ephod, teraphim, and cast image (Judges 18:18). When the sons of Dan continued on their way, Micah saw that they were too strong for him and returned to his house (Judges 18:26).
