Ichabod is named as the son of Phinehas and the brother of Ahitub in 1 Samuel.
Ichabod in the Bible is the boy named by the wife of Phinehas after the ark of God was taken. The passage says she called him Ichabod and spoke of glory departing from Israel in connection with the taking of the ark, her father-in-law, and her husband (1 Samuel 4:21).
Ichabod is named in at least two verses in 1 Samuel. A later verse identifies him as a son of Phinehas, son of Eli the priest of the LORD at Shiloh, and calls Ahitub his brother (1 Samuel 14:3).
