Ebed

Ebed is a biblical person identified as Gaal’s father in Judges 9:26. That verse says Gaal, Ebed’s son, came with his brothers and passed through Shechem; the masters of Shechem placed their trust in Gaal. Ebed is also named as Jonathan’s son in Ezra 8:6, among the sons of Adin, with fifty males accompanying him. The name Ebed occurs in at least two verses across Judges and Ezra.
