Deborah

Deborah in the Bible is a prophetess and judge in Judges, first named as the wife of Lappidoth while judging Israel Judges 4:4. She sat beneath the palm tree of Deborah, where the sons of Israel came to her for judgment Judges 4:5.

Deborah told Barak that she would go with him, and she went with him to Kedesh Judges 4:9. When Barak summoned Zebulun and Naphtali, Deborah went up with him Judges 4:10. She urged Barak to arise, saying that the LORD had given Sisera into his hand Judges 4:14. Deborah and Barak sang together, and Deborah spoke of arising as “a mother in Israel” Judges 5:1 Judges 5:7. Her name occurs in at least 9 verses in Judges.
