Becher

Becher is a Numbers genealogical ancestor named among the sons of Ephraim and associated with the Becherites. Numbers 26:35 lists him with Shuthelah and Tahan in a clan-based record of Ephraim’s sons. The passage calls the group “the sons of Ephraim according to their clans” and names the Becherites as Becher’s clan. Becher’s biblical attestation is confined here to one verse in Numbers.
