Arioch

Arioch is named in Genesis as king of Ellasar, while Daniel names an Arioch as captain of the king’s guard. Genesis lists Arioch among four kings and calls him “king of Ellasar” (Genesis 14:1; Genesis 14:9). In Daniel, Arioch goes out under the king’s decree against Babylon’s wise men and tells Daniel the matter (Daniel 2:14; Daniel 2:15). At Daniel’s request, he does not destroy them and brings Daniel before the king (Daniel 2:24; Daniel 2:25).
