Ahijah is a priest named in 1 Samuel during Saul's encounter with the ark of God.
Ahijah in the Bible is a priest in 1 Samuel, identified as the son of Ahitub and as one carrying an ephod (1 Samuel 14:3). The passage also places him in the line of Ichabod, Phinehas, and Eli, called “the priest of the LORD at Shiloh” (1 Samuel 14:3).
Ahijah is named in at least two verses in 1 Samuel. When the ark of God was present with the sons of Israel, Saul told Ahijah, “Bring the ark of God forward” (1 Samuel 14:18).
