Ahijah is a priest named in 1 Samuel in connection with an ephod and Saul's command concerning the ark of God.
Ahijah in the Bible is the priest named as the son of Ahitub in 1 Samuel 14:3. The passage says that he was carrying an ephod while the people did not know Jonathan had gone. Ahijah is named in at least 2 verses, all in 1 Samuel. In 1 Samuel 14:18, Saul tells Ahijah, “Bring the ark of God forward,” and the verse says the ark was present that day with the sons of Israel.
