Abdeel is named as Shelemiah's father in Jeremiah's account of the king's command.
Abdeel is a Jeremiah person identified as the father of Shelemiah, who is named when the king issues a command in Jeremiah 36:26. The passage calls Shelemiah “son of Abdeel” and says that the king commanded Shelemiah, Jerahmeel, and Seraiah to take Baruch the secretary and Jeremiah the prophet; the LORD hid Baruch and Jeremiah. Abdeel is named in at least one verse, all in Jeremiah.
